CCA cables
The conductor is pure solid
0.8 mm diameter silver with a crystal length of more than 200 metres.
The custom RCA plugs are made from pure copper, plated only with silver
and gold. A proprietary configuration, low impedance earth return and
100% magnetic and electric shielding enables the total unfurling of
a four-dimensional sound stage. Definitive, they surpass any balanced
cable. Well suited to long runs.
CCB cables
The conductor is pure solid
silver of 0.8 mm diameter with a crystal length of more than 200 metres.
The custom RCA plug sare made of pure copper which are plated in only
in silver and gold. A conventional realisation, 100% magnetically and
electrically shielded. These enable a smooth, low-noise, transparent
and unconstricted presentation.
CCD cables
A 75 ohm coaxial cable, but
that's were the conventionality ends. Internally terminated and double
magnetic shielding ensures fatigue-free sound and excellent, stable
imaging.
Powerbox
Designed to provide dedicated
audiophile-quality AC power to components. By using an individual conditioner
for each piece of equipment, noise generated by other components as
well as mains-borne interference is removed. It is particularly beneficial
to separate the analogue from digital components.
Broadband (minimised resonance)
filtering and multiple absorption techniques makes the Powerbox effective
from 10KHz to day-light with minimal downside.
The Powerbox delivers a total
system transformation: increased sound-stage size, openness, textural
realism and inter-transient silence. The Powerbox all but eliminates
the synthesized character of transistor and/or digital components.
Modular Amplifier System
(MAS)
This flexible design enables
a single Power Supply Module (PSM) to support up to five Amplifier Modules
(AMs) providing individual, versatile and upgradable set-ups for home
theatre and audiophile systems.
Modularization permits optimum
placement. For instance, AMs can be placed at the speaker terminals,
dispensing with speaker cables (applause, applause). Alternatively it
permits ease of placement within equipment cabinets to ensure cool running.
In addition, a PSM can be
used to supply each individual AM. The 100,000 uF power supply coupled
to the 16 output device 100W amplifier can drive even the most demanding
speakers.
The Cawsey MAS incorporates
solid state switching (so there are no moving parts to degrade or chatter
and control turn-on), balanced circuitry to a bridged output (to minimise
common-mode, mains and earth-reference interference), capacitor-free
compensation and feedback (for precision, high speed and speaker damping),
JFET / RET electron devices and high quality non-inductive components.
Modularisation also has a benefit for grounding: an earth connected
at the PSM chassis (for safety) is independent of the AM, which can
then have a clean earth from the pre-amp/source (via the signal interconnects).
The modules are attractively
packaged in compact satellite-finish steel cases.
Cawsey Preamplifier Module
Modular internal options
enable this preamplifier to match the Cawsey MAS or any other power
amplifier.
Dedicated MC and MM phono,
cross-overs (24 dB Linkwitz-Riley per JFET buffered passive 6 dB stages)
can precede the solid-state input switching and volume control. The
tape output is buffered (by an op-amp). These are followed by low-gain
line stages (with optimised LP time constants realised by multiplying
small, more ideal, capacitors by feedback).
Very fast JFETs are employed
(exclusively) in the discrete audio circuitry which is assembled (per
RF techniques) by hand.
A micro-processor controls
the input selection, volume and balance. It accepts instructions from
the remote or the front panel control. An output is supplied for programmable
remote controls. The computer goes to sleep a short while after instruction
to prevent clock-noise contaminating the audio. Whilst the processor
is on, the front panel LEDs indicate the input/tape monitor selection,
volume, balance and mute status.
The back panel has a large
terminal intended to be the entire systemÕs (central) ground point,
enabling a simple connection to a dedicated earth (for optimum noise
reduction).
RCA socket options include
fitting pure copper/PTFE types to optimally match Cawsey Cable plugs.
The preamplifier is attractively packaged in satellite-finished steel.
