News
Cawsey is now available in England via Walrus Systems in London. Cable
sales have been strong and it would seem the English like what they hear.
Also doing well in England
are Perigee speakers which are made up on the Sunshine Coast. They made
it to Melbourne after Easter, teaming up with Cawsey for the hi-fi show,
one critic being heard to say it was the best sound at the show. We weren't
surprised and it was visual, as well as sonic, synergy.
In May Cawsey is on the move.
Our new premises are at the Merri Business Park. We look forward to seeing
you there. More details soon.
Philosophy
To offer products that are
peerless -- in particular, cables, power conditioners and amplifiers that
are free from glare and fatiguing artefacts, presenting effortless soundstage.
To offer excellent value for money.
Company History
Garry Cawsey started designing
audio equipment in 1974 whilst studying Electronic Engineering. Early
offerings were valve preamplifiers and hybrid (solid state output stage)
power amplifiers but then most income was derived from servicing and modifying
equipment (Hi Fix). By 1988, GarryÕs time was devoted full-time to researching
solid-state designs and developing power-conditioners and cables, resulting
in the birth of Ear Science. The Ear Science range of cables and the Powerbox,
considered by many as definitive, are still in production. In 1999 Cawsey
was formed: a partnership with an impressed customer, Steve Williams,
who brought management skills to Garry's technical mastery.
Cawsey DOM
In 2002 Cawsey DOM was created
to offer a medium-priced entry point range and also incorporate the successful
Ear Science products into the Cawsey fold.
